The LG Twins defeated the SSG Landers 6-4 behind back-to-back home runs from foreign hitter Austin Dean, avenging the previous day's walk-off loss and clinching the series.
LG won Monday's away game in the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League at Incheon SSG Landers Field.
Austin was at the center of the victory. Starting at first base in the No. 3 spot, he blasted homers in consecutive at-bats and drove in four runs.
His bat turned sharply at the decisive moment. With LG leading 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning with two outs and runners on second and third, he turned on a 119 km/h curveball from SSG starter Kim Geon-woo and sent it 120 meters for a three-run homer.
In the top of the eighth with one out, he homered again, this time a solo shot off veteran pitcher Roh Kyoung-eun, putting the game out of reach. Austin, who had gone six straight games without a run batted in, returned to his role as run producer.
All six of LG's runs came on home runs.

In the top of the second with no outs and a runner on first, No. 5 hitter Moon Jung-bin hit a two-run homer to seize the early momentum, and Austin followed with his back-to-back homers for four RBIs.
SSG did not back down easily. The Landers began their chase in the bottom of the second with a solo home run from No. 5 hitter Kim Jae-hwan, then narrowed the gap in the bottom of the fifth on a homer by No. 8 hitter Oh Tae-gon and a timely hit from leadoff Park Sung-han.
With two outs in the bottom of the eighth, cleanup hitter Guillermo Heredia hit a solo home run to mount another chase, but SSG failed to add more runs.
LG starter Lim Chan-kyu, backed by his lineup, held the line over six innings, allowing six hits (two home runs) and three runs with one walk and three strikeouts to record a quality start and his third win of the season. Son Joo-young pitched a scoreless ninth inning to seal his third save of the season.
SSG starter Kim Geon-woo, meanwhile, pitched stably through the fourth inning but unraveled in the top of the fifth after giving up consecutive hits to Shin Min-jae and Hong Chang-ki, then surrendering the decisive three-run shot to Austin. He finished with five innings, four hits (two home runs), five runs, three walks and four strikeouts.
