Incheon's Jung-gu District will officially open the Midan City Sports Park Park Golf Course in Yeongjong International City on Tuesday and begin full-scale operations.
According to the district on Monday, the course was expanded and relocated to the Midan City Sports Park in Unbuk-dong after the decision to build Yeongjong No. 5 Haneul Middle School (tentative name) on the site of the previous facility in Jungsan-dong. The 18-hole course spans a total area of 17,161 square meters (about 5,191 pyeong).
Operating hours run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, with the course closed on Mondays and public holidays. Operations will also be suspended during rain or snow for safety reasons. The course runs on a four-session daily schedule, and entry is restricted 30 minutes after each session begins.
The fee is 2,000 won for a two-hour session, with on-site card payment only. Seniors aged 65 and older, children, teenagers, military personnel and people with disabilities are eligible for a 50% discount.
The course operates through both online reservations and on-site first-come, first-served entry. The first session is run entirely through online reservations, while sessions two through four are split 50% online reservations and 50% on-site entry. Online reservations can be made through the Jung-gu Facilities Management Corporation website starting at 2 p.m. every Monday for use during that week.
Online reservations are available only to Jung-gu residents, with each person limited to one use per day. Users may also reserve a spot for one companion, who must also be a district resident. On-site users must bring identification and documentation proving eligibility for discounts.
"Through the official opening, residents will be able to enjoy sports activities and leisure in a more pleasant environment," a Jung-gu official said. "We will continue to improve the park facilities to enhance user satisfaction."
