FC Seoul manager Kim Ki-dong has won the K League 1 Manager of the Month award for the second consecutive month.
The Korea Professional Football League announced Wednesday that Kim had been selected as the recipient of the "flex Manager of the Month" award for April.
Having already won the award for February and March, Kim secured the April honor as well, becoming the fourth manager in league history to win the Manager of the Month award in consecutive months. He follows Choi Kang-hee (Jeonbuk) in 2014, Ko Jong-soo (Daejeon) in 2018, and Gus Poyet (Jeonbuk) in 2025.
With his sixth career Manager of the Month award, Kim also moved into a tie for third on the all-time list alongside Daejeon Hana Citizen manager Hwang Sun-hong, trailing only Nam Ki-il (eight) and Choi Kang-hee (seven).
Kim's Seoul posted four wins, one draw, and one loss across six matches in April, firmly holding onto first place in K League 1.
Seoul opened April with a 1-1 draw against Anyang in Round 6, then defeated Jeonbuk 1-0 in Round 7 and Ulsan 4-1 in a rescheduled Round 2 match, gaining the upper hand in the title race. The club suffered its first defeat of the season with a 0-1 loss to Daejeon in Round 8, but bounced back with a 3-0 win over Bucheon in Round 9 and a 2-1 victory over Gangwon in Round 10 to resume its winning momentum. During this stretch, Seoul scored 11 goals while conceding four, showing stability on both ends of the pitch.
Along with Kim, Sergio Costa (Jeju), Kim Do-kyun (Seoul E-Land), and Cho Sung-hwan (Busan) were nominated for the April Manager of the Month award.
