Yoon Ina, who posted her career-best major finish at the LPGA Tour's Chevron Championship, has climbed to 39th in the women's golf world rankings.
In the women's world rankings released on Monday (Korea time), Yoon earned 2.13 points, rising 14 spots from 53rd the previous week to 39th. It marks her highest world ranking this year.
Yoon shot a 4-under 68 in the final round of the Chevron Championship, which concluded Sunday at Memorial Park Golf Course (par 72) in Houston, Texas. Finishing at 12-under 276, she tied for fourth with Yan Liu of China. In her second year on tour, it was the first time Yoon recorded a top-10 finish at a major. Her previous best major finish was a tie for 14th at last year's U.S. Women's Open.
Nelly Korda of the United States, who won the Chevron Championship, earned 11.65 points to reclaim the No. 1 ranking, pushing Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand down to second. Rounding out the top five were Kim Hyo-joo of Korea, Charley Hull of England, and Hannah Green of Australia. Kim Sei-young slipped two spots to 11th.
Lee Ye-won, who won the Deoksin EPC Championship on the KLPGA Tour, climbed 17 spots to 52nd.
