Asiana Country Club in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, is welcoming golfers with a new look after replacing its green turf and refurbishing its cart paths.
According to Kumho Resort on the 28th, Asiana CC, the members-only golf course operated by the company, has completed course and facility maintenance and is unveiling an upgraded premium round environment. The company said it has improved overall operations by prioritizing course competitiveness, round convenience and member satisfaction.
The move also aligns with "Quiet Luxury," a recent lifestyle trend that values intrinsic worth and private experiences. Rather than flamboyance, the club plans to focus on enhancing the inherent value of the golf course — including course management that preserves natural scenery and the clubhouse — while continuously strengthening member-centered premium services.
Asiana CC offers the appeal of strategic play through a combination of the majestic and challenging East Course and the West Course, which demands delicate shot-making. In particular, the scenery in harmony with nature and meticulous course management are regarded as Asiana CC's distinctive strengths.
This year, the club is focusing on improving course quality — its core competitiveness — by simultaneously enhancing green conditions and travel convenience to provide a more refined and stable playing environment.
To preemptively address climate change, the club piloted a new green turf variety called "Pure Distinction" last year and will complete the replacement of nine holes on the East Course by May this year. The variety is known for superior disease resistance and maintenance efficiency compared with the existing "Dominant" variety, and it maintains uniform color and density throughout the year. Asiana CC plans to replace the greens across all courses with Pure Distinction by 2028, maximizing its image as a premium golf course by boosting summer green speeds and improving visual quality.
Infrastructure upgrades for member satisfaction have also been completed. In March this year, the West Course completed asphalt concrete resurfacing along a total of 7.6 km of cart paths and refurbished the guide lines along hole-to-hole routes, improving driving stability. Five banquet rooms on the first floor of the clubhouse have also been renovated to create private relaxation spaces.
"Asiana CC is strengthening the premium value that members can tangibly experience by raising the overall quality of the course, including green quality," a Kumho Resort official said. "We will continue to enhance our competitiveness as a prestigious golf course based on differentiated course quality management and member-centered operations."
