Lee Jung-hoo (27, San Francisco Giants) showcased a sharp batting stroke by recording a multi-hit game for the second consecutive day.
Lee started as the No. 6 hitter and right fielder against the Miami Marlins at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California, in a 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) regular-season home game on Wednesday (Korea time), going 2-for-3 with a walk. Both hits were doubles, and he added one run scored.
Lee's season batting average rose to .287 (27-for-94), and his OPS (on-base plus slugging) climbed to .773.
After struggling early in the season with a .143 batting average and .439 OPS through April 9, he has hit .404 over his last 14 games and is now on the verge of a .300 average.
Buoyed by Lee's performance, San Francisco defeated Miami 6-2, snapping a two-game losing streak.
In his first at-bat in the second inning, Lee launched a double over the right fielder's head on the first pitch from opposing starter Eury Perez, a 158 km/h fastball. In his second at-bat in the fourth inning, he went the opposite way on Perez's 156.3 km/h high-and-outside pitch for a double into left-center.
It was the second time this season Lee produced two extra-base hits in a single game, following his April 11 game against the Baltimore Orioles (one double, one home run). It also marked his second consecutive multi-hit game, after collecting three hits including his second home run of the season in the previous day's game against Miami. After drawing a walk with one out in the sixth inning, Lee scored on Patrick Bailey's RBI single. In his final at-bat in the seventh inning, a well-struck ball went straight at an infielder for a groundout.
Kim Hye-seong (27, LA Dodgers) started as the No. 8 hitter and shortstop in a home game against the Chicago Cubs, turning in a strong performance of 2-for-5 with one RBI and one run scored. With his third straight two-hit game, his season batting average climbed to .357, and the Dodgers cruised to a 12-4 victory.
