
Kim Hye-seong, 27, of the Los Angeles Dodgers delivered his second multi-hit game of the season, boosting his batting form.
Kim went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in the Dodgers' road game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field in Denver on Wednesday.
With his second double and second multi-hit game of the season, Kim's batting average climbed from .273 to .308, going 8-for-26.
Starting as the No. 8 hitter and shortstop, Kim hit a double to right-center with one out in the top of the third and scored the game's opening run on Alex Freeland's RBI single.
With the Dodgers leading 3-0 in the top of the fourth with one out and runners on first and second, Kim flew out to center. In the sixth, he came to the plate again with one out and runners on first and second but grounded out to third.
Trailing 4-6 in the eighth with two outs and a runner on first, Kim hit a single to left to put runners on first and third, but the Dodgers failed to produce a follow-up hit and could not score. The Dodgers lost 6-9, suffering their first consecutive losses of the season.
Kim's teammate Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-5 with two doubles, extending his on-base streak to 51 consecutive games.
Ohtani is now just one game away from the Asian record of 52 consecutive games reaching base, set by Choo Shin-soo in 2018.
Lee Jung-hoo, 28, of the San Francisco Giants went 0-for-3 in the team's road game against the Washington Nationals. After hitting safely in five straight games, Lee went silent, and his batting average dropped from .253 to .244, going 19-for-78.
Batting sixth and playing right field, Lee grounded out to third in his first at-bat in the top of the second and grounded out to second in the fourth.
With San Francisco trailing 0-3 in the sixth with no outs and a runner on second, he struck out on three pitches. In the eighth, with two outs and a runner on third, he was replaced by pinch-hitter Gerard Encarnacion and left the game. San Francisco lost 0-3, ending a three-game winning streak.
