Kwon Sung-yeol maintained his lead for the second consecutive day at the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour's 2026 season-opening tournament.
Kwon shot a 7-under-par 65 with one eagle and five birdies in the third round on Tuesday at the 21st DB Insurance Promy Open (total prize money of 1 billion won, or approximately $730,000) held at La Vie Est Belle Golf & Resort (par 72, 7,254 yards) in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.
With a three-day total of 19-under-par 197, Kwon held sole possession of first place for the second straight day. He is now aiming for his second career victory, eight years after winning the SK Telecom Open in May 2018.
Lee Sang-yeop was in sole second place, two strokes behind. Lee is chasing his first win in 10 years since capturing a match play tournament in June 2016. Wang Jeung-hun was alone in third at 14-under-par 202.
