The men's professional volleyball champion for this season will be decided in the final fifth game of the championship series.
Hyundai Capital swept Korean Air 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 31-29) in Game 4 of the Jin Air 2025-2026 V-League men's championship finals (best-of-five series) at Cheonan Yugwansun Gymnasium on Wednesday.
The series is now tied at 2-2, resetting the competition to square one. Korean Air, the regular season leader, had taken a 2-0 series lead but failed to clinch the title after losing Games 3 and 4.
Game 5 will be held at Incheon Gyeyang Gymnasium at 7 p.m. on Friday. If Hyundai Capital wins, the team will claim back-to-back championship titles. If Korean Air prevails, the club will reclaim the throne after a two-year absence. No team in V-League men's championship history has ever won a title by losing the first two games and then winning three straight.
Heo Su-bong led Hyundai Capital's offense with 20 points including two blocks, while foreign player Leonardo Leyva Martinez (registered name Leo) contributed 17 points. For Korean Air, Jeong Ji-seok fought hard with 19 points including two service aces and two blocks, but it was not enough to prevent the team's defeat.
