
Ko Ji-won, who claimed her third career victory on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, rose 20 spots in the women's golf world rankings. Ko was listed at No. 63 in the women's golf world rankings released Monday. She was ranked 83rd the previous week.
Ko won the KLPGA Tour The Siena Open at The Siena Belluto Country Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, on Saturday with a final score of 13-under-par 275. Before her first victory at the KLPGA Tour Jeju Samdasoo Masters in August last year, Ko was ranked 253rd in the world. With her third career win at this tournament, she has climbed into the top 65. Players ranked within the top 75 in the world rankings are eligible to compete in the U.S. Women's Open.
The top 11 spots remained unchanged, with Jeeno Thitikul of Thailand at No. 1, Nelly Korda of the United States at No. 2 and Kim Hyo-joo at No. 3. Lauren Coughlin of the United States, who secured her third career victory at the LPGA Tour Aramco Championship, jumped from 32nd to 12th.
