Only 11 players posted under-par rounds in the second round. Unfortunately, no Korean player was among them. Still, 11 of 12 Korean women golfers advanced to the third round, keeping their pursuit of a fourth consecutive victory this season alive.
Kim Hyo-joo, seeking a personal three-peat, led the Korean contingent in the second round of the LPGA Tour Aramco Championship at Shadow Creek Golf Course (par 72) in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday.
Kim carded four birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey for a 1-over-par 73. Her total rose by one stroke to 3-under-par 141, but her ranking climbed two spots from a tie for fourth to a tie for second. Two of the three co-leaders from the previous day had fallen back.
