The PBA Q-School, the gateway to next season's Professional Billiards Association (PBA) first-division tour, opens on July 5 at the PBA Stadium in Kintex, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province.
Q-School is a promotion-relegation tournament where players relegated from the 2025-2026 first-division tour and top-ranked players from the second-division Dream Tour compete for first-division berths in the upcoming season.
The first round of Q-School, played in a single-set format to 35 points, runs for three days starting July 5. A total of 68 players who applied from among those ranked 25th to 120th in the Dream Tour point rankings will compete, with approximately the top 30 advancing to the second round.
The second round, played in a single-set format to 40 points, takes place from July 13 to 15. First-round qualifiers will be joined by players ranked 61st to 120th from the first-division tour. Approximately 30 players who clear the second round will earn berths in the 2026-2027 first-division tour, which opens in May.
The top 60 players in the 2025-2026 first-division tour ranking points and the top 24 from the Dream Tour have already secured their spots in next season's first-division tour.
Meanwhile, the 2026 LPBA Tryout, a selection tournament for women's professional billiards players, will be held at the same venue on July 12, followed by the men's PBA Tryout on July 19. LPBA Tryout qualifiers will compete in next season's LPBA Tour, while PBA Tryout qualifiers will enter next season's Dream Tour.
