The PXG Lightning driver lineup reaches golfers through four distinct models — Lightning Tour, Lightning Tour Mid, Lightning Max 10K+, and Lightning MaxLite — designed to deliver optimized solutions for a wide range of players.
The standout core technology is the "Frequency Tune Face." It generates a unique vibration frequency at impact to transfer energy more efficiently, producing faster ball speed.
The driver adopts a reinforced Spine Sole design that eliminates unnecessary vibrations generated in the head at impact, minimizing energy loss. The Lightning series increases the use of carbon fiber material compared to previous models. The Lightning Max model in particular uses approximately 84% carbon fiber to maximize its moment of inertia (MOI).
Additionally, Etched Face technology precisely applied to the face surface significantly improves spin control, delivering a consistent shot dispersion pattern and enhanced feel.
"The Etched Face technology helps maintain a stable shot dispersion pattern even when the face is slightly wet, greatly improving golfers' games under any conditions," a PXG club development official said.
For tour-level and advanced players, PXG recommends the Lightning Tour or Tour Mid models, which feature compact head designs for precise shot-making and maximum club speed. For amateur golfers who prioritize distance and forgiveness, PXG recommends the Lightning Max 10K+ or MaxLite models, which deliver MOI at the United States Golf Association (USGA) upper limit of "10K."
Kane Co., PXG's official importer in Korea, is offering one dozen PXG Extreme Premium golf balls to customers who purchase drivers or metalwoods after visiting the PXG Dogok flagship fitting center or scheduled demo events through May 31. Customers who purchase PXG GEN8 irons will receive a complimentary iron cover set.
