The head size has been designed for greater stability compared to the previous model, with a head shape preferred by Korean golfers and enhanced turf interaction.
Mizuno applied its world-patented "Grain Flow Forged HD" process and the carefully selected high-quality soft-iron material S25CM (1025E) to pursue a perfect balance of feel, forgiveness, and workability. Optimal head designs for each iron number were realized based on feedback from tour professionals.
Grain Flow Forged HD is a process that forms a single piece from a round bar stock, shaping everything from the face to the neck in one unit. This connects the metal grain flow lines — the key to feel — seamlessly throughout the head interior. The HD (High Density) method concentrates grain flow lines more densely in the impact zone, producing a longer and clearer sound at impact.
S25CM (1025E) is a material in which impurities that degrade feel, such as phosphorus and sulfur, are suppressed to approximately 50% of standard specification levels. It delivers a soft feel while minimizing unnecessary vibration, providing Mizuno's signature clear impact sound.
In terms of head design, long and mid irons feature fine-tuned head lengths and increased heel-side height for easier ball contact and rotation, enhancing stability. Short irons have adjusted toe-side volume to prevent excessive head rotation, improving directional accuracy and control performance.
