
All tickets for the 2026 KBO season opening two-game series have been sold out.
The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced on the 29th that "for the second time ever, all games were sold out for two consecutive days of the opening series held on Saturday and Sunday," adding that "this marks the second straight year following the 2025 season."
The 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League regular season, which opened on the 28th, featured two-game series through the 29th: kt wiz vs. LG Twins (Jamsil), KIA Tigers vs. SSG Landers (Incheon), Lotte Giants vs. Samsung Lions (Daegu), Doosan Bears vs. NC Dinos (Changwon), and Kiwoom Heroes vs. Hanwha Eagles (Daejeon).
Following sellouts on the 28th, packed crowds filled stadiums again on the 29th, with 23,750 at Jamsil, 23,000 at Incheon, 24,000 at Daegu, 18,128 at Changwon, and 17,000 at Daejeon.
The KBO League, which drew a record 12.3 million spectators last year, attracted a total of 211,756 fans across 10 games during this year's opening two-game series. This ranks as the third-highest attendance for an opening series held on Saturday and Sunday.
The all-time opening series attendance record stands at 219,900 across 10 games, set last year.
