A massive new destination capturing the attention of park golfers nationwide has emerged amid the tranquil landscape of Guseong-ri, Naesu-eup, Cheongwon-gu, Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province. The Chungbuk Provincial Park Golf Course launched its trial operations on December 19 last year. As of March 22, just three months after opening, cumulative visitors surpassed 28,366. With nearly 10,000 enthusiasts visiting each month, the course is rapidly rising as a new mecca for park golf in the central region. Its geographical advantage as a transportation hub, combined with an overwhelming scale of 45 holes, has already generated tremendous buzz.

Unlike most park golf courses located along riverbanks that frequently close due to flooding or drainage issues during the rainy season, the Chungbuk Provincial Park Golf Course was built on elevated highland grassland. This gives it excellent drainage capability, earning high marks for enabling comfortable rounds even on rainy days.
Spread across a vast 70,722-square-meter (approximately 21,393 pyeong) site, the facility boasts five 9-hole courses (A through E) totaling 45 holes. The combined course distance is 2,475 meters. Built to take advantage of the hilly terrain, each course has a distinct character.
Each course features systematically designed hole lengths and difficulty levels, demanding not only precise shots but also strategic stamina management throughout the round. Course C (590 meters) and Course D (575 meters), the longest of the five, are regarded as advanced-level layouts offering the thrill of powerful drives across wide-open views. Course E (365 meters), relatively short but situated on the highest ground, presents numerous terrain variables where delicate distance control and precise putting become the decisive factors in lowering scores. By contrast, Course A (520 meters) and Course B (525 meters) on lower ground feature relatively gentle, flat layouts that allow everyone from beginners to experienced players to enjoy a stress-free round.
