Korea Football Park, set to become the new home of Korean football, will hold its official opening ceremony.

The Korea Football Association (KFA) announced on March 26 that the official opening ceremony for Korea Football Park will be held at 2 p.m. on April 7.

Built in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, Korea Football Park began operating its stadium, accommodation buildings, training grounds and indoor football facilities in the fall of 2025. With all facilities now fully completed, the association decided to hold the official opening ceremony.

Jointly constructed by the KFA and the city of Cheonan, Korea Football Park is a complex spanning approximately 145,000 pyeong (about 479,000 square meters) with total construction costs of approximately 400 billion won ($296 million). The facility comprises 11 football pitches including a small stadium and an indoor football arena, four futsal courts and five tennis courts.

The opening ceremony, attended by key figures from the domestic and international football community as well as senior officials from South Chungcheong Province and Cheonan, will feature a live video tour showcasing the park's major facilities.

To mark the official opening, the Korea Football Park U-18 Champions Cup final will also be held at the KFA Stadium within Korea Football Park.

The tournament brings together four champions from the February winter-season national high school football competitions: Janghun High School (Busan MBC Cup winners), Osan High School representing FC Seoul U-18 (Baegun Cup winners), Yeongseang High School representing Jeonbuk Hyundai U-18 (Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Cup winners) and Sinpyeong High School (Spring Tournament winners).

The four teams will play semifinals on March 31 at Korea Football Park's artificial turf Pitch 1 — Osan High School vs. Janghun High School and Sinpyeong High School vs. Yeongseang High School — before the final kicks off at 3 p.m. on April 7.
