The Korea Professional Park Golf Association announced on the 23rd that it will hold the "2nd Professional Park Golf Pro Test of 2026," an official selection process for systematic player recruitment.
The pro test consists of two stages — a written exam and a practical skills evaluation — aimed at selecting professional players with both expertise and competitive ability, the association said.
The first-round written exam will be held on the 11th of next month at the conference room on the 10th floor of Garden Five Tool in Songpa-gu, Seoul. The test comprises 30 questions, with a passing score of 60 points or above. Questions are based on the association's official rulebook, covering game regulations, professional player management rules, tournament and league operation rules, and disciplinary rules.
The second-round practical evaluation for those who pass the written exam will take place on May 2 at Westwood Phoenix Park Golf Course in Yeongcheon, North Gyeongsang Province. The evaluation will follow an 18-hole stroke play format, with the top 100 scorers selected as professional players. In the event of a tie at the cutoff, all tied players will pass.
Successful candidates will be registered on the association's official professional roster, assigned unique identification numbers, and granted eligibility to compete in association-organized professional tournaments and events. They may subsequently pursue higher certifications such as Tour Pro, Teaching Pro, and Master Pro. However, professional status takes effect only upon completion of membership registration and annual fee payment.
The examination fee is 150,000 won, covering both the written and practical tests. The membership initiation fee is 1.5 million won, including the current year's annual fee. Starting from the second year of registration, members must pay annual dues, set at 200,000 won this year. Those who fail the written exam may retake it once within the season, with the retake fee waived.
Park golfers wishing to apply can register through the association's website and the Voice Park app by the 8th of next month.
An association official said, "This 2nd Pro Test is a crucial step in establishing standards for Korean professional park golf," adding, "We will continue to discover competitive professional players through a fair and systematic selection process."
