Turkish football club Besiktas secured a victory with South Korean national team striker Oh Hyeon-gyu (24) starting and playing 89 minutes.
Besiktas defeated Gençlerbirliği 2-0 in their away match for the 26th round of the 2025-2026 Turkish Süper Lig at Eryaman Stadium in Ankara, Turkey on the 15th (local time), maintaining fourth place with 49 points.
Oh started as the team's lone striker. He roamed the pitch until being substituted in the 89th minute, attempting two shots including one on target, but failed to find the net.
Oh transferred from Genk (Belgium) to Besiktas during the winter transfer window. He scored in three consecutive matches starting with his debut against Alanyaspor on February 9, and also found the net in the Turkish Cup (Türkiye Kupası) Group C fourth-round home match on the 5th.
However, he has failed to score in his last three league matches.
Besiktas took the lead in the 56th minute when Oh's thunderous left-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area was saved by the goalkeeper, only for Junior Olaitang to convert the rebound with his left foot.
Oh's powerful shot effectively set up the opening goal.
Orkun Kökçü added a second goal in the 67th minute to complete the 2-0 victory.
