Majesty Golf announced on the 11th that it has selected Kim Ja-young (pictured), a former star player on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, as its official ambassador ahead of the launch of its "Prestigio 14" product line.
The appointment coincides with Kim's return to public activities and the release of Prestigio 14, the latest addition to the premium Prestigio line.
Kim debuted on the KLPGA regular tour in 2010 and claimed the most-wins title in 2012 with three victories that season. She also received the popularity award the same year, establishing herself as a leading player on the tour. In 2017, she won the Doosan Match Play Championship, bringing her career total to four victories and reaffirming her reputation as a clutch performer. Since leaving the tour after the 2020 season, she has continued to exert positive influence in the golf community through various activities.
Majesty Golf expects the collaboration with Kim, who earned the nickname "Match Queen" and won the hearts of many golf fans, to create synergy with the brand's philosophy of pursuing both performance and prestige.
"In our search for a partner who could convey both the premium value and performance that our brand pursues, we determined that Kim Ja-young was the most suitable person," Majesty Golf said. "Along with the new product launch, we plan to develop various content and customer engagement activities based on Kim Ja-young's story and experience to expand brand awareness and connection with consumers."
"Throughout my playing career, I always felt how important club quality is to performance," Kim said. Kim will participate in the Prestigio 14 launch event, where she will test the products and engage with media and customers about the brand's story.
