Former world No. 1 Park Sung-hyun will meet fans at the KLPGA Tour's 2026 season domestic opener.
Sema Sports Marketing, which manages Park, announced on the 3rd that "Park Sung-hyun will compete as an invited player at the KLPGA Tour's The Siena Open, held at The Siena Veluto CC in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province, for four days starting April 2."
The KLPGA Tour 2026 season opens with the Rejuran Championship (total prize money of 1.2 billion won) held in Thailand in March, with The Siena Open (total prize money of 1 billion won) being the first domestic tournament.
The Siena Open marks Park's first official tournament of the season.
Park, who has accumulated seven wins on the LPGA Tour including two major championships and 10 wins on the KLPGA Tour, is aiming for a comeback on the LPGA's second-tier tour this year following a disappointing 2025 season.
"I think I can receive great energy by starting the season in front of many fans," Park said. "I have high expectations that this energy will carry me through the competitions this season."
Meanwhile, Park signed a sponsorship deal with golf apparel brand The Siena Life in February.
