South Korean table tennis pair Kim Na-young and Yoo Ha-na of POSCO International have claimed the top spot in the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) women's doubles world rankings.
The duo moved up one position to first place in the ITTF Week 10 women's doubles rankings released Tuesday, overtaking China's Wang Manyu and Kuai Man. This marks the first time a South Korean doubles pair has reached world No. 1 since the ranking system was introduced.
The achievement comes after mixed doubles pair Lim Jong-hoon of Korea Exchange and Shin Yu-bin of Korean Air became the first Korean pair to reach world No. 1 in Week 7 rankings earlier this month. South Korea now holds the top position in both mixed doubles and women's doubles.
Kim and Yoo earned 580 points by reaching the quarterfinals at the 2026 World Table Tennis Singapore Smash last weekend, bringing their total to 4,020 points. This allowed them to surpass Wang and Kuai, who remained at 4,000 points. The Korean pair won three consecutive WTT Star Contender titles last year in Chennai, Skopje, and Lagos, and finished runner-up at the WTT Chennai event earlier this month.
In other women's doubles results, Shin Yu-bin and Japan's Nagasaki Miyu jumped from 14th to 9th after finishing as runners-up at the Singapore Smash. However, men's doubles pair Lim Jong-hoon and Ahn Jae-hyun of Korea Exchange dropped from second to third place.
In singles, South Korea's top male player Jang Woo-jin of SeAH rose from 13th to 10th, entering the top 10, while women's ace Shin Yu-bin fell one spot to 14th.
