Snowboard Women's Slopestyle Final Rescheduled Tonight After Heavy Snow

The women's snowboard slopestyle final at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, postponed due to heavy snowfall, will be held one day later than originally scheduled.

The Olympic organizing committee announced that the women's snowboard slopestyle final, originally scheduled for February 17 (local time), has been postponed due to heavy snow and will now take place at 2:30 p.m. on February 18 (10:30 p.m. KST).

The event was initially set to begin at 1 p.m. local time on February 17 at Livigno Snowpark in Italy. However, heavy snowfall forced the delay. Officials determined that thick snow would obstruct athletes' visibility and affect their speed, making conditions too dangerous to proceed.

After the organizing committee and the International Ski Federation (FIS) decided to postpone, discussions on rescheduling resulted in the event being moved to the following day. The men's slopestyle final, originally scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on February 18, has been moved up one hour to 11:20 a.m., with the women's event to follow.

South Korea's Yoo Seung-eun (Seongbok High School) will compete in the women's snowboard slopestyle final. Yoo advanced to the 12-athlete final after finishing third overall in qualifying with a score of 76.8 points. Slopestyle is a discipline where athletes ride down a course featuring rails and various obstacles while judges score their technical performance to determine rankings.

Yoo, who became the first Korean female snowboarder to win an Olympic medal after placing on the podium in big air, will attempt to become the first Korean woman to claim multiple Olympic snowboard medals in the slopestyle event.
