Korean bobsled teams "Kim Jin-su" and "Seok Young-jin" finished in the top 20 in the men's two-man bobsled event at the Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics.
Team Kim Jin-su, consisting of pilot Kim Jin-su and brakeman Kim Hyung-geun (both from Gangwon Provincial Office), recorded a combined time of 3 minutes 43.60 seconds across four runs at the Cortina Sliding Centre in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, on Feb. 18 (Korea time), finishing 13th. Team Seok Young-jin, with pilot Seok Young-jin (Gangwon Provincial Office) and brakeman Chae Byeong-do (Catholic Kwandong University), finished 19th with a time of 3 minutes 44.61 seconds.
Both teams will aim for medals in the four-man event scheduled for Feb. 21-22. Team Kim Jin-su will be joined by Lee Geon-woo and Kim Seon-wook (both from Gangwon Federation), while Team Seok Young-jin will compete with Lee Do-yoon (Korea National Sport University) and Jeon Su-hyeon (Gangwon Federation).
Meanwhile, Germany swept the gold, silver, and bronze medals in the men's two-man bobsled event, replicating their achievement from the 2022 Beijing Olympics and reaffirming their dominance in sliding sports.
