"Improving golf course quality is not a cost but an investment. If courses consistently enhance their value, the players competing on those stages will naturally elevate their performance to world-class levels."
Kim Won-seop, chairman of the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA), delivered these remarks at the "2025-26 Seoul Economic Daily Top 10 Golf Courses & Golf Resorts Awards Ceremony" held at The Plaza Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the 12th, stating that "the association and golf courses share a symbiotic relationship."
"When golf courses provide excellent environments, players can deliver their best performances, which directly elevates the prestige of the tour," Kim said. "I hope courses continue to sustain the value of their investments."
Kim Soon-hee, senior vice chairwoman of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA), also expressed her appreciation at the ceremony. "Events like this help enhance the competitiveness of Korean golf as a whole, and from the association's perspective, we are deeply grateful and encouraged," she said.
"Golf courses and tours are partners completing a single masterpiece together," Kim added. "The reason our players can compete on the world's top stages is ultimately because golf courses have served as a solid foundation for the tour."
She emphasized that "the prestigious title of Korea's Top 10 Golf Courses will be a tremendous source of pride and powerful motivation for these courses." She added, "Thanks to a virtuous cycle where courses constantly deliberate and invest to maintain their top positions, the tour environment improves every year, and for that, I extend my gratitude."
