Kim Sang-gyeom, the veteran of Korean alpine snowboarding, has become the first medalist for Team Korea at the 2026 Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics.
Kim, 37, of High1, claimed silver in the men's parallel giant slalom final at Livigno Snow Park in Italy on February 8, finishing 0.19 seconds behind gold medalist Benjamin Karl of Austria.
The medal marks both Korea's first at these Olympics and the nation's 400th Olympic medal across all Summer and Winter Games combined.
