Figure Skater Cha Jun-hwan Named Top Handsome Athlete at 2026 Winter Olympics

Cha Jun-hwan, South Korea's top men's singles figure skater competing for Seoul City Hall, has been ranked first on Vogue Hong Kong's list of most handsome athletes at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.

In an article titled "2026 Milano Winter Olympics: Complete Guide to the 13 Most Handsome Male Athletes" published on its website on Tuesday, Vogue Hong Kong selected Cha as the top "handsome athlete" combining both visual appeal and athletic prowess.

"Korea's Ice Prince Cha Jun-hwan exudes clean, cold sharp lines and a restrained aura that looks as if a filter has been applied," Vogue Hong Kong wrote. "The moment he steps onto the ice, he transforms into a completely different person."

The magazine added, "As a former child actor, Cha has extensive experience in front of cameras from his days as a model during childhood, which allows his performances to deliver perfection at every moment. We look forward to seeing him execute technical skills and emotional expression simultaneously, with clean quadruple jumps and bolder step sequences."

The upcoming Games will mark Cha's third Olympic appearance. He made his Olympic debut at the 2018 PyeongChang Games, finishing 15th in men's singles, before achieving his personal best of fifth place at the 2022 Beijing Games. At this competition, he will attempt to win Korea's first Olympic figure skating medal in 12 years since Kim Yuna's silver at the 2014 Sochi Games.

Following Cha on the list were Norway's cross-country skier Johannes Høsflot Klæbo, Japan's snowboarder Hirano Ayumu, Hungarian-born short track skater Liu Shaolin Sándor who naturalized to China, France's ice dancer Guillaume Cizeron, Italy's men's singles skater Daniel Grassl, and American men's singles skater Ilia Malinin.
