The Korean national Paralympic team heading to the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Paralympics held a send-off ceremony at Olympic Parktel in Songpa-gu, Seoul, on Sunday, pledging strong performances at the upcoming games.
Korea will dispatch a delegation of approximately 40 members, including 16 athletes, to the Winter Paralympics to be held in the Cortina area of Italy from March 6 to 15 (local time). Athletes will compete in five sports: alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, snowboard, and wheelchair curling.
The team has set its goal at winning one gold medal and one bronze medal, aiming to finish within the top 20 in the overall standings. The Korean Paralympic Committee has established a training camp at the venue to help the delegation acclimatize and adjust their conditioning, with the main contingent departing for the competition site on February 27.
