Garmin Launches Approach G82 Portable Launch Monitor and GPS Display

Garmin has launched the Approach G82, a portable launch monitor and premium handheld GPS display designed to improve swing performance.

The all-in-one golf device supports swing analysis and putting practice in a single unit. The company said the expanded radar metrics help users refine their swings, while newly introduced putting metrics assist in improving putting consistency.

The Approach G82 features a 5-inch color touchscreen, the largest among Garmin's handheld golf products, and contains information on more than 43,000 golf courses worldwide. The device also supports functions for systematic preparation for upcoming rounds at practice facilities such as driving ranges and putting greens.

The built-in launch monitor tracks key radar metrics including ball and club speed, smash factor, and swing tempo, allowing users to precisely analyze and adjust their swings. The device also provides putting feedback, enabling users to develop consistent putting based on data.

The product will be available for purchase on the official website starting January 23, and at Garmin brand shops from March 3.
