Korea Railroad Corporation (Korail) said on the 6th that its integrated app "Korail+" now allows users to book train tickets, lodging, and rental cars all at once.
On the ticket screen under the "My Ticket" tab, users can also view Mobility as a Service (MaaS) options near their departure and arrival stations. The "Mobility & Convenience" tab lets users check real-time parking information at arrival stations and book transportation services such as rental cars, car-sharing, and tourist taxis, as well as station-linked products including lodging and leisure passes.
The company also expanded the range of partner products. Through this railway integration, the luggage delivery service "Jim Carry" is now available at stations along the existing SRT lines, such as Suseo and Dongtan. A new lodging service has also been added, allowing users to book about 30,000 accommodation facilities near major stations nationwide without installing a separate app.
To promote usage, Korail is running discount and prize events throughout August. Discount rates are 25% for "Coffee & Bread," up to 72% for rental cars, 60% for car-sharing, and up to 5% for lodging facilities. Luggage delivery is discounted by 1,000 won.
"We will upgrade 'Korail MaaS' by first considering the services customers need from their perspective," said Lee Min-sung, head of Korail's Passenger Business Division.
