The Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City announced on the 30th that it will support innovation technology demonstrations for 43 startups. The companies will verify their products and services at actual sites such as university hospitals, urban railway waiting rooms, and traditional markets until January 2027.
The "Startup Product Demonstration Support Project" provides venues and costs to companies that possess innovative technologies and prototypes but face difficulties conducting demonstrations. Over the three years from 2023 to 2025, the project supported a total of 103 companies.
This round of evaluation comprehensively assessed the technical merit of the demonstration technology, its contribution to municipal innovation, the suitability of demonstration institution matching, the specificity of the demonstration plan, commercialization potential, and the potential for spreading results.
This year, a total of 2.8 billion won will be invested. Selected companies will receive up to 60 million won in demonstration costs. They can also be provided with demonstration sites suited to their technology's characteristics, such as university hospitals, urban railway waiting rooms, and traditional markets.
