Seoul's Yeongdeungpo-gu is holding a "Children's English Economics Class" to strengthen elementary school students' economic knowledge and global competencies, opening participant registration for first- through sixth-graders at local elementary schools starting on the 22nd.
The program consists of two periods. The first period features activity-based lessons such as reading economics fairy tales and decorating piggy banks, allowing children to naturally encounter basic economic principles. The second period involves reading and discussing English-language economic newspapers together to examine major global issues and economic trends.
A total of 120 participants will be selected, and applications can be made online on a first-come, first-served basis through the Yeouido Brighten Library website.
The program will be held on August 11 and 14 at the Yeouido Brighten Library.
