
A vehicle escorting Chief Justice Cho Hee-dae of the Supreme Court was involved in a collision with a private vehicle.
According to police on the 14th, at around 2:20 p.m. that day, a sedan driven by a civilian in his 60s, identified as A, struck a vehicle escorting the car carrying Chief Justice Cho at an intersection in Ongdong-myeon, Jeongeup, North Jeolla Province.
In the accident, A and two people who were riding in the escort vehicle were injured and taken to the hospital, according to reports.
Chief Justice Cho was confirmed to have been riding in a different vehicle. At the time, Cho was carrying out a tour schedule to encourage local courts.
Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident.
