The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority has launched an English-language brochure featuring success stories and the investment environment of companies operating in the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone (BJFEZ), targeting global investors.
The authority said on the 13th that it had published the 97th edition of its comprehensive brochure "Hello BJFEZ" for the first half of this year.
Under the theme "BJFEZ, a Successful Partner for Global Companies," the brochure spotlights the competitiveness of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone, which is growing into a world-class business and logistics hub, and the achievements of resident companies.
In particular, it introduces the growth cases of major resident companies, including Taewoong in the shipbuilding and machinery sectors, as well as Dongwon BIDC, Samyoung MT, BNP Logistics, and Halla IMS, highlighting that the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone serves as a platform for corporate growth.
Specialized content was also significantly strengthened. The brochure includes expert columns covering industry trends such as cold chain logistics innovation and manufacturing AI innovation, as well as a "Special Focus" analyzing the innovation strategies of global companies such as Amazon and Tesla. Contributions from the chairman of the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chinese Consul General in Busan were also included to bolster content that can attract the interest of overseas investors.
In addition, the brochure introduces government investment support policies such as the Opportunity Development Zone, various incentives, and investment information on major development districts including the Mieum and Nammun districts. It also includes the residential environment linked to cultural and tourism resources along the Nakdong River, such as the Nakdong Art Center and the Busan Museum of Contemporary Art, emphasizing the investment appeal that encompasses both industry and living environment.
An English edition of the brochure was also produced and will be distributed to some 230 overseas institutions and organizations, including KOTRA overseas trade offices, diplomatic missions abroad, overseas sister cities of Busan and Gyeongnam, and overseas offices, as well as some 950 domestic institutions and organizations, including foreign chambers of commerce in Korea, chambers of commerce nationwide, and foreign-invested companies. It will also be actively used in future overseas investment presentations and corporate attraction activities.
The brochure was also produced in e-book form so that anyone can view it through the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority website.
"This first-half edition focuses on demonstrating, through the success stories of resident companies, that BJFEZ is the optimal partner for global business," Commissioner Park Sung-ho said. "It will serve as an excellent guide to inform domestic and foreign investors of the authority's dynamic growth and its complete residential environment."
