The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) and the Innopolis Foundation held the "2026 Deep Tech Achievement Exchange" at Hotel ICC in Daejeon on the 13th, sharing achievements in deep tech startups and technology commercialization created around the research and development special zones.
Thirty-five outstanding and promising companies from the R&D special zones operated achievement exhibition booths, and business networking and corporate growth support consultations were held.
The R&D special zones have promoted technology commercialization and startups based on the outstanding research achievements of science and technology-specialized universities and government-funded research institutes. They have established themselves as a key platform driving balanced national development, with approximately 15,000 resident companies and revenue of 85.9 trillion won.
"I hope this serves as an opportunity to provide researchers with the possibility of commercialization and startups with the chance for growth," said Koo Hyuk-chae, First Vice Minister of Science and ICT.
