Baejae High School has filed for an injunction to suspend the effect of the Korea Baseball Softball Association's (KBSA) six-month ban from national tournaments.
According to the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education on the 10th, Baejae High School submitted an application for an injunction to suspend the effect of the six-month competition ban to the court that day.
Baejae High School had also requested on the 8th that the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee review the disciplinary action of the six-month national tournament ban. Accordingly, the committee plans to hold a subcommittee on the 14th to discuss whether to place the matter on the agenda of the Sports Fair Play Committee, and if the decision is made to do so, a review of Baejae High School's disciplinary action will be held on the 20th.
The only national tournament Baejae High School can participate in this year is the 54th Phoenix Flag National High School Baseball Championship, which opens on the 6th of next month. If the committee's decision leads to the disciplinary action being withdrawn or the ban period being reduced to within one month, the Baejae High School baseball team will be able to compete in the Phoenix Flag tournament.
