Seoul's Seongdong District has held an integrity tea talk between the district chief and staff as part of efforts to improve its organizational culture.
Seongdong District said on the 9th that it held an integrity tea talk on the 8th at Seongdong Chaengmaru inside the district office, bringing together District Chief Yoo Bo-hwa and staff members. Employees of various ranks and age groups attended the talk, freely exchanging views on the value of integrity in public service and on organizational culture.
In particular, employees appointed in 2021 and new employees to be appointed in 2026 gathered together to build cross-generational understanding, while staff from diverse backgrounds, including married couples who are both civil servants and officials in charge of district public relations, also took part and shared their experiences.
Ahead of the tea talk, a morning commute event titled "See You When Integrity Rises, Good Morning, Chief!" was held on the first floor of the district office. Chief Yoo greeted staff at the main entrance and distributed "plant-growing kits." The event was part of the "Campaign to End the Custom of Congratulatory Plant Gifts During Personnel Season," which has been under way since June, carrying the aim of spreading an integrity culture that conveys sentiment instead of plants.
"Integrity forms naturally within an organizational culture of mutual respect and trust," Chief Yoo said. "We will build an organization where everyone can freely share opinions across ranks and generations."
