A lottery winner's story is drawing attention after the person won a 500 million won prize following three consecutive nights of dreams featuring singer Lim Young-woong.
According to lottery operator Donghaeng Lottery on the 9th, the first-prize winner of the 107th edition of Speetto 1000, identified as A, purchased the ticket at a lottery retailer on Saenae-ro in Sejong City and will receive the first-prize payout of 500 million won.
"Recently, singer Lim Young-woong appeared in my dreams for three consecutive nights, glowing brightly with a halo around him," A said in a winner's interview. "In the dream, we greeted each other and spent an enjoyable time together."
A then told the dream to A's spouse, who said it could be a good omen. "When I told my spouse about the dream, they said it seemed like an auspicious dream, so that day I stopped by a lottery retailer with my younger sibling and bought a Speetto 1000 ticket," A explained.
After returning home with the ticket, A checked the results together with the sibling. At first, A thought the ticket had won 5,000 won, but the sibling, after looking at the ticket again, shouted, "It's a 500 million won win," revealing the first-prize result.
Describing the moment, A said, "When I won, I was so surprised and dazed that I couldn't believe it, and for a while I couldn't say anything."
A, who said they had regularly purchased Speetto 1000 tickets every week, plans to use the winnings to buy a home. "I never expected such great fortune to come my way. I am truly grateful and happy," A said.
