Jeon Kyung-ran, a professor in the Department of Digital Contents, has been elected the 14th president of Dong-eui University.
The Dong-eui Educational Foundation held a board meeting on the 9th and appointed Jeon as the next president. Her term runs for three years. Jeon received a doctorate in journalism from the Department of Journalism and Broadcasting at Ewha Womans University, then joined Dong-eui University as a professor in 2006. She served as director of the External Public Relations and Cooperation Center, dean of academic affairs, head of the IR division, and vice president for academic affairs. She also worked as an education policy advisor for the Ministry of Education, an expert member of the Presidential Committee for Balanced National Development and the Regional Era Committee, and a member of the National Gambling Control Commission.
"By fostering educational innovation, mutual growth among industry, academia and local communities, and a healthy university community culture, I will build a springboard for Dong-eui University, which is approaching its 50th anniversary of foundation, to leap toward a new century," Jeon said.
