Domestic and international artificial intelligence (AI) experts will gather in Seoul to discuss AI adoption in the public sector and inter-city cooperation.
The Seoul AI Foundation announced on the 9th that it will hold the "2026 Second Seoul AI Administrative Innovation Forum" on the 14th at the International Conference Hall of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The forum was first held last year to discuss public-sector AI utilization and urban administrative innovation cases.
This year's forum theme is "The Future of AI Innovation Meets in Seoul, AI CITY SEOUL." Officials from cities at home and abroad and experts from AI research institutions will gather to share AI administrative innovation cases and discuss public AI cooperation measures.
The forum consists of a keynote session, a global session, and a session for Korean local governments. In the keynote session, Masahiro Ihara, CTO of Japan's GovTech Tokyo, will present strategies for building and operating AI capabilities in the public sector under the theme "Building Government AI Capacity."
In the subsequent global session, major overseas institutions including the MIT Senseable City Lab, the Dubai Centre for AI, and Singapore's IMDA will introduce global AI city development strategies and urban innovation cases.
In the Korean local government session, local governments including Gyeonggi Province, the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Special City, and Daegu Metropolitan City will present their experiences with AI administrative pilot projects and AI transformation (AX) initiatives, and discuss ways to expand public AI adoption.
The Seoul AI Foundation plans to share its experience supporting public AI adoption and driving AI administrative innovation. Participants will discuss ways for cooperation between domestic and international cities and institutions to develop into a sustainable public AI cooperation ecosystem.
