The Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation (Gyeonggi Shinbo) held a "One-Day Success Class–Amazon Entry Training" on Monday at the seminar room on the third floor of its headquarters, aimed at expanding global online sales channels for small merchants in the province.
The training was arranged for 30 small merchants seeking to enter overseas markets using Amazon. The lecture was led by instructor Cho Shin-ho, who has built experience in global online exports and Amazon marketing.
The training focused on hands-on practice rather than theory. Using their personal laptops, participants directly carried out tasks such as opening Amazon seller accounts, registering products, and establishing sales strategies. The program was designed to help them learn the basic procedures and practical skills needed for online exports.
The first course covered basic practical matters such as Amazon's market structure and consumption trends, entry procedures, and seller account creation. The second course, to be held on the 14th, will feature in-depth training centered on FBA operations and shipping procedures, keyword advertising, marketing strategies, and success cases of global expansion. FBA is a logistics service in which Amazon handles product storage, packaging, delivery, and returns.
Gyeonggi Shinbo plans to continue operating the "One-Day Success Class" going forward. It also plans to expand non-financial support based on training and consulting to help strengthen the competitiveness of small merchants.
"Opportunities for overseas sales through global e-commerce platforms are growing," said Si Seok-jung, chairman of Gyeonggi Shinbo. "It is important for small merchants to have strategies to expand their sales channels beyond the domestic market into overseas online markets."
"I hope this training provides practical help to small merchants preparing to enter overseas markets," he added. "We will continue to develop field-oriented support policies."
