The city of Suwon is stepping up efforts to strengthen its culinary tourism content ahead of the "2026-2027 Visit Suwon Year."
Suwon said Tuesday that it will launch the "100 Best Suwon Restaurants" service on its tourism application "Touch Suwon" starting the same day.
The 100 Best Suwon Restaurants is content that selects and introduces 100 restaurants representing the region. Information is provided in four languages, including Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese, so that foreign tourists can also use it conveniently.
The city has added a dedicated banner and quick button for the 100 Best Suwon Restaurants on the Touch Suwon app. Through a map-based search function, users can view restaurants near their current location in order of distance. Signature menus, business hours, parking information, and contact details are provided for each restaurant.
The city is also producing a "Suwon Restaurant Map." The food map will be placed at major tourist sites and tourist information centers. Using QR codes, it will also provide restaurant information linked to Touch Suwon. On the city's website, food map files produced in six languages—Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, French, and Spanish—will be posted.
The city plans to develop the 100 Best Suwon Restaurants into a flagship culinary tourism content connecting food culture with tourism resources. Through this, it plans to enhance convenience for tourists and boost the local commercial district.
"We hope the 100 Best Suwon Restaurants will serve as a guide introducing Suwon's diverse food culture to domestic and international tourists," a city official said. "We will continue to discover tourism content that widely promotes Suwon's appeal."
