Law firm Shin & Kim announced Wednesday that it has newly appointed attorney Kil Young-min (33rd class of the Judicial Research and Training Institute) as co-head of its Singapore office.
Kil currently serves as head of Shin & Kim's Southeast Asia team and as head of its Vietnam office. He led the opening of the firm's Ho Chi Minh office in Vietnam in 2016 and was subsequently involved in opening its Hanoi office, Jakarta office in Indonesia, and Singapore office. He has also participated in major Southeast Asian projects, including CJ Logistics' acquisition of Vietnam's largest logistics company, HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering's acquisition of Doosan Vina (Doosan Enerbility's Vietnamese subsidiary), and the acquisition of the Starlake real estate development project in Hanoi.
Drawing on this experience, Kil will be responsible for developing and managing Southeast Asian clients and strengthening the collaboration framework between the firm's headquarters and overseas offices. Singapore is considered a key economic and financial hub in Southeast Asia and a major base for regional companies and global investors.
