A court has sentenced a man in his 30s, identified by his surname Kim, to seven years in prison for breaking into the home of Nana, a singer and actress formerly of the popular girl group After School.
The First Criminal Division of the Namyangju branch of the Uijeongbu District Court (presiding judge Kim Kook-sik) on Tuesday sentenced Kim to seven years in prison. Kim had been indicted while in custody on charges of robbery resulting in injury for breaking into Nana's home, demanding money and valuables, and threatening with a weapon.
On Nov. 15 last year, Kim entered Nana's home in Guri, Gyeonggi Province, where he threatened Nana and her mother with a weapon and demanded money and valuables. He was indicted and held in custody on these charges. Kim filed a complaint against Nana on charges including attempted murder, claiming he was injured when Nana and her mother subdued him, but police determined the actions were self-defense and cleared her of the allegations.
