Haenam County Governor-elect Myeong Hyun-gwan returned to county affairs on the 4th and began addressing local issues. Myeong holds the title of Haenam County's first three-term chief, earning a reputation that firmly established his image as a "capable administrator."
For his first order of business, Myeong attended a regular staff meeting and paid tribute at the memorial tower, then immediately returned to work to review the progress of major projects and began preparing to wrap up the eighth popularly elected term and launch the ninth.
"I am grateful for the overwhelming support and encouragement that allow me once again to take responsibility for Haenam's future," Myeong said. "Keeping the voices from the field deep in my heart throughout the campaign, I will devote all my passion solely to Haenam's development and the happiness of its residents."
"As all indicators are showing the nation's top performance through management administration and clean administration during the seventh and eighth popularly elected terms, I will work with public officials to complete Haenam's hundred-year plan that leads the AI era," Myeong said. In the energy sector, he plans to link solar power with large-scale offshore wind power to make Haenam a global renewable energy hub, and to establish a win-win model that shares energy profits with county residents.
