"K-Med Expo Vietnam 2026," held by KINTEX in Vietnam, is establishing itself as a key export platform for Korean companies.
KINTEX announced Tuesday that it is holding the K-Med Expo at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, through the 6th. This year's event features 80 companies across 100 booths, covering the full range of medical devices from digital healthcare to diagnostic and surgical equipment, dental materials, and skin beauty devices.
The exhibition is co-organized by KINTEX, the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association, KOTRA, and the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA). As it is held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam's economic hub, officials from major local general hospitals, including Hue Central Hospital, are set to attend in large numbers as key buyers.
The participating companies are also noteworthy. Leading firms in their respective fields will showcase the latest technology trends, including InBody in body composition analysis, Ceragem in home healthcare, DK Medical Systems in diagnostic X-rays, and EROP in surgical equipment.
Joint pavilions by local governments and industry associations, including Gyeonggi Province, G-Valley, Gangwon Technopark, and the Wonju Medical Industry Promotion Foundation, have also been organized to support the participation of promising regional companies.
Various side events have been arranged to overcome global regulatory barriers. The "Korea-Vietnam Medical Device Regulatory Trends Seminar," co-organized by the Korea Medical Devices Industry Association, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, and the Vietnam Medical Device Administration, will share local licensing information.
A one-on-one overseas buyer export consultation hosted by KOTRA and customized export consulting programs by HIRA and the Korea Medical Devices Industrial Cooperative will also be operated together on-site.
Vietnam's medical device market is growing more than 10% annually on average, emerging as a key market in Southeast Asia. With a domestic market of nearly 100 million people coupled with demand for expanding medical infrastructure, opportunities for Korean companies to enter the market are expanding. The K-Med Expo has served as a B2B platform directly connecting Korean companies with local buyers amid such market trends.
"This exhibition will be a business platform that offers Korean medical device manufacturers the most practical opportunity to develop local sales channels," KINTEX CEO Lee Min-woo stressed. "We will continue to provide comprehensive support so that promising Korean companies can achieve unrivaled export results in the Vietnamese market, the hub of Southeast Asia."
