Choi Jeong, a 9-dan world-class Go player from Boryeong, South Chungcheong Province, gave a sports celebrity lecture to students of a children's Go class at the Creative Convergence Room of Myeongcheon Elementary School in Boryeong on the 4th.
Under the theme "Boryeong Girl Choi Jeong, Placing Dreams on the Go Board!" Choi candidly shared with the children her journey of challenges and growth as she rose to become a Go player representing South Korea.
The children who attended the lecture communicated directly with Choi, asking questions about what they were curious about, and spent time learning about the patience and challenging spirit gained through Go, as well as proper sportsmanship.
