The Support Association of the National Science Museum of Busan is introducing a "digital fundraising platform." The move aims to lower the barriers to participation so that anyone can easily join in giving as part of their daily lives, and to spread the value of sustainable science-sharing.
According to the National Science Museum of Busan on Thursday, the association has newly built an "integrated fundraising page" based on an online fundraising solution (Donus). Optimized for all digital environments, including mobile and PC, it minimizes the sign-up process for sponsorship and visually presents real-time fundraising results and participation status.
Through the platform, the association is expanding its recruitment of new supporting members targeting children and families. Anyone interested in science-sharing can take part.
Supporting members receive benefits including invitations to the 10th anniversary commemorative event, year-end tax deductions, and regular newsletters, along with sponsorship certificates and thank-you gifts according to their membership tier. In particular, "family sponsors" will be offered differentiated member treatment, including free admission to the permanent exhibition hall and special exhibitions (up to 2 people per day) and free use of the parking lot.
Lee In-hwan, chairman of the National Science Museum of Busan Support Association and chairman of GBLight, said, "Through the digital fundraising platform introduced to mark the 10th anniversary of our founding, citizens can now join in giving more easily and conveniently in their daily lives." He added, "I ask that many children and families experience the joy of sharing, and further join the journey of gifting scientific dreams to underprivileged children on the other side of the globe."
