The Jeollanam-do Provincial Council drew attention on the 2nd by conducting "Administrative Audit Capacity Building Training" for its policy aides. Designed to enhance the expertise of policy aides in administrative audits — a core authority of local councils — the training was structured around practical content with a focus on improving understanding.
"To proactively respond to discussions on the Jeonnam-Gwangju administrative integration and growing legislative demand, we are continuously pursuing customized training to enhance the expertise and capabilities of our policy aides," an official from the Jeollanam-do Provincial Council said. "We plan to continue expanding the expertise of policy aides through practical training across various fields."
The training, held at the Choui Room of the Jeollanam-do Provincial Council, was attended by approximately 40 policy aides and standing committee staff. Professor Park Soon-jong of the Local Government Officials Development Institute was invited as a lecturer, and the program covered practical topics including the legal basis and procedures of administrative audits, audit data analysis techniques, major cases of identified issues, drafting of questionnaires, and practical response strategies.
In particular, the case analysis and questioning techniques training, which utilized actual local council administrative audit cases, was evaluated as having significantly helped strengthen the audit support capabilities that policy aides can immediately apply in the field.
