Seongnam City has launched a pilot version of "Seongnam Gaebal Talk Talk," an integrated online platform that allows residents to easily access information on urban redevelopment and reconstruction projects, one of the city's key agenda items.
According to the city on Wednesday, the online platform systematically provides the status and step-by-step progress of various redevelopment and reconstruction projects underway across Seongnam.
Residents can use the service by accessing "Seongnam Gaebal Talk Talk" directly or through the city hall's website.
Until now, information on redevelopment projects had been scattered across departments in charge of each individual project, making it difficult for residents to find the information they needed. With the new platform, project status and progress can now be checked far more easily and conveniently than before. The initiative aims to achieve two goals at once: enhancing transparency in redevelopment projects while strengthening residents' access to information.
The platform allows users to check the progress of projects by type, including Bundang reconstruction, old downtown redevelopment and reconstruction, and small-scale block housing redevelopment. It also offers guidance designed to help residents understand complex redevelopment procedures and legal terms, and operates a citizen forum bulletin board where residents can submit inquiries.
"Seongnam Gaebal Talk Talk is a platform built to provide information on urban redevelopment projects, including redevelopment and reconstruction, to residents in a more accessible and systematic way," a Seongnam City official said. "We will continue to enhance residents' right to know and help them better understand redevelopment projects by providing accurate and timely information."
